I love your food and especially how you make the injera. Your injera was the first one I have tasted that truly reminded me of home. Thank you for representing our country in Bellingham :).

  8. Mallard says:

Would it be possible to have an option of wheat-free injera? That would be spectacular for those of us who are gluten-intolerant!

    1. Yes, we serve gluten free injera!

I love Ethiopian Vegetarian platters. At the farmers market, you served them but the restaurant only serves whole/half portions of individual items. Any hope of the platter coming back? It’s so nice to have the variety.

Hello – I did not know we had an Ethiopian restaurant in Bellingham!
I’m just checking to see if the restaurant is still operating in Public Market. Would very much like to bring some friends here. πŸ™‚
Are the hours still the same, etc?
It looks like last update on this site was 2014, so thought I should check.

    1. Hello! We are open every day except Sunday, 11 am – 8 pm. Thank you! πŸ™‚ Please brings your friends!

  12. I just wanted you to know that for years I have looked for an Ethiopian cookbook because it is one of my favorite cuisines. It is very difficult to develop the full flavors at home without the guidance of a teacher, though that didn’t stop me from trying! I am so glad I found your book. It is wonderful! I received my undergraduate degree at WWU back in 2001 and I am sorry that I missed your cooking. When I come to visit, I look forward to dining in your restaurant.

    1. Hi Gretchen! Thank you so much! I am so proud to read your words! Please come say hello when you come to Bellingham! I have tried very hard to make the cookbook good. I would be so grateful if you left a review for my book on amazon, but if you don’t feel comfortable to do that, that’s OK. πŸ™‚

      1. I will leave a review right now! Not only is your book wonderful, as far as I can tell it is the most comprehensive book I’ve ever found on Ethiopian cooking. Keep up the good work and though I don’t have plans to come to Bellingham soon, I do plan to get up there within the next year and I will definitely come by!

      2. Thank you for the wonderful review! It was so kind of you! Your review was so detailed, it will really help people! Thank you again! πŸ™‚
